Ryan Geddes joined Savills in early 2015. During his time at Savills, he has been involved in several large-scale retail and commercial property sales including the sale of 56-68 St Asaph St to Box 112 for $25m.
Ryan has also completed many of the largest retail leasing deals in Christchurch, including the lease to HOYTS of their new 10,000m2 flagship central city cinema. Other significant recent deals including leasing a flagship site to H&M in Carter Group’s central city retail precinct The Crossing; a 9000m2 lease to Vodafone in their new building on Tuam St and a 6000m2 anchor tenancy for Westpac in The Terrace, Christchurch’s rebuilt central city riverside hospitality and office precinct.
Ryan is recognised as one of the leading leasing brokers in Christchurch and has had a strong influence on Christchurch’s regenerating central business district since the earthquakes. In addition to negotiating many of the flagship retail leases in the new central city retail precinct, he has been a driving force in bringing some of the country’s biggest retail, corporate office and government occupiers back to the CBD. This has been a critical step in giving other tenants confidence to follow suit and commit to CBD lease deals of their own.
